ARCHITECTURAL VISION
We create a vision that provides the building's design bedrock - from urban scale to interior detail. We then facilitate its implementation from design to construction completion.
This philosophy is parallel to that of a film director, dealing with the creative, financial, legal and ultimately, the final audience.
Visually, our work often presents a strong geometric form as an appropriate, yet striking response to its context.
The specifics of a project’s immediate locality and surrounding environment are closely considered, whilst seeing it in the context of a broader, more international lens. Our sensibility is both local and global.
Robert Harwood Architects draws on history, nature, art and extensive global research, with an expertise and knowledge of appropriate materials and an eye for optimising natural light and space.
Whether within a city block, or a suburban street, set on the water’s edge, or in a rural landscape, we create a signature design outcome with a strong structure, clear logical function, innate practicality and exuding an intrinsic joy for living.
